The more well insulated cells or cold rooms are the lower the energy costs. As the only moving part, the door is a critical point here. Salco supplies solid but lightweight doors that are easy to open, close perfectly and have a high insulation value. We offer various versions of refrigeration doors, freezer doors and commercial doors that provide a customized solution for virtually any situation. This involves finding the right balance between accessibility, energy savings, safety, cost and sustainability.
The ideal doors for the food processing industry
For use in the food processing industry, Salco supplies special versions in which the edge profiles of the door leaf and the frame are made of 304 stainless steel. Stainless steel door leaf cladding is often chosen automatically, but this is not that obvious. Stainless steel, for example, cannot be processed seamlessly with larger doors and is not completely rustproof in all cases, for example in an environment where a lot of aggressive acids are used (including nitric acid).
Lightweight and competitively priced
In addition to stainless steel, there are other high-quality materials, such as polyester, that meet the extremely high requirements. Even for areas with the highest hygiene requirements, there are excellent foodsafe solutions with plastic door linings. Light in weight, competitively priced, well-suited to a particular architecture thanks to the color options and, of course, completely rust-free. Moreover, the door leaf can almost always be processed seamlessly. In addition to the standard 1.5 mm foodsafe polyester door leaf cladding, an extremely impact-resistant version is also available (only in RAL 9016 (white)) as an inexpensive alternative to stainless steel. Of course, the leaf can also be clad in chiseled 304/316 stainless steel (sunburst).
