At their new site in De Hem, six modern cold rooms have been built, making the company future-ready. Flowers by JB is part of the renowned JB Tulips group. While the parent company focuses on tulip cultivation, Flowers by JB specialises exclusively in cut peonies. Every year, millions of stems are picked from over 17.5 hectares. They are sold for big holidays like Valentine’s Day, International Women’s Day, and Easter.
The new facility in De Hem provides space for growth and improved storage. With a total of 2,800 m² of new cold rooms, the peonies are now better protected, less sensitive to temperature fluctuations, and less prone to quality loss.
